When Lou Cooper Sr. was only 15 years old, he began working part-time for a plumbing supply company. What started as a summer job unloading trucks led to a full-time position selling plumbing supplies and a second job as a plumbing apprentice, helping him amass invaluable knowledge before joining Plumbers Local 690 in Philadelphia.
All his experience led him and his wife, Gerry, to found Cooper Plumbing and Heating in 1976, a name that would change to Cooper Mechanical once a full-service HVAC division was added shortly after.
